What should be done with all those folks living in "tent" cities? |
|
The irony of it all. With millions of houses empty, people are living in tents. Something is not right with this picture.

But if it doesn't cut a huge portion of pie for the corporatist, any plan will be defeated. Sad, sad, sad. Welcome to the Land of The Mighty Corporation. aka Fascism.

6. Ideally, re-employ them. |

But sticking with the foreclosed-home/homeless matching, I suppose the govt could buy up some of these homes and turn them into cheap housing and/or homeless shelters. Which itself would employ some people.

Money is more important than caring for people. There is enough food and enough shelter to go around, but we allow people access based on dollars, not existance, and the skills that are required to survive are not necessarily accessible to all... means of producing goods for survival has been outsourced, and what's left, well... it's ugly. :(

until things can get straightened out.
Let's start converting those "McMansions" sitting there doing nothing into affordable duplexes, triplexes and fourplexes.
Fuck the banks, mortgage lenders, realtors, zoning lawyers. Useless pieces of shit.

I wish there was a way to take a portion of government land and turn it into an educational project for homeless folks. Teach them how to grow gardens, maintain them, and slowly teach them how to enter the workforce that is expected of Americans.
