I was tuning in to my local sports talk radio station this morning and the callers

and the hosts were skewering Bush for the Pat Tillman situation. Only one caller defended Bush, saying "this doesn't necessarily go to the White House."

I don't know about my fellow DUers, but when a sport talk radio station becomes the new grill to barbecue Bush on, you gotta believe he is dead meat. :evilgrin:

3. The grilling would've been in 2004 if Tillman came home alive and

gotten on all these sport shows and dumped on Bush then. You think Bush and Rove didn't know how that would've lost them at least 5 million votes? They would've been forced to steal 10million instead of just the 5million they stole.

Tillman planned to campaign for Kerry - Bush knew it.

Everything is politics everything is to be exploited for political reasons everything there is no reason to think this is any different. To do so would be naive.

Olbermann and Dan Patrick go there in this radio interview with Mary Tillmlan Pat's mother. She won't commit to it but she says that she can't rule it out. Usually I don't like this sort of guiding an interviewee in a direction like this but Mary doesn't seem to be unwise to it or that they are "going there". This was on ESPN radio nationwide.

I have been saying basically this (that the WH had Pat at least put into as dangerous a situation as possible -this is the nicest way I can say it) since I first heard about what Pat thought of Bush and of the war on Iraq.

BTW- no one has even been able or willing to tell us the identity of the Afghani man who died *cough* near Pat on the ridge-the one everyone thought was alQaeda so that is why they started shooting *cough*

4. It ties to bush because Tillman hated the Iraq war and considered it

illegal and a big waste of life, money and time, and would do nothing to make us safer. IIRC, he made his opinion clear in his letters to his family. I believe this is why his diary was burned, and would like to see this investigated.

they were mocking him on 'Round the Horn on ESPN after the scream. When a political issue cuts into the sports talk you know it has legs.
