Well sooner or later Bush/Cheney had to be right about something
Without going through the extensive list of the stuff they completely screwed up it was like some sort of odd trump card that they held- sooner or later you would think (the DC crowd especially) that they HAD to get SOMETHING right.

So during the transition phase we heard a lot of "Just wait until they get in here and see how it is" which came off as patronizing and condescending

What we didn't know was that what that meme meant was really "They are going to be amazed out how we screwed up on a scale previously thought unthinkable"

so they were right....sort of

watching the press conference yesterday it was not surprising that after establishing the fact that the Bushies (Paulson included) knew about these AIG bonus last September the questions were about how Geitner found out about them last Wednesday but the queries weren't about how this was clearly buried by the old administration but rather "Geitner said this at noon and President Obama said this at 4PM ...." and suddenly the press wants a clear time line of who knew what and when.

1. I figured dubya and gang knew about this ...
whenever there was something they didn't want to say, they distracted and rushed things thru Congress.

I think we will fell the affects of the last mis-administration for YEARS to come!

2. I've been thinking about this,
given the secrecy of bush, I worry President Obama is going to spend much of term reacting to the bush ied's that will be popping off at regular intervals. I fear that while working on getting this country back in working order, he will be going from one disaster to another.

I don't want to give bush that much credit in thinking this up, but with his self absorption, and disregard for the average American, or America for that fact, I can only imagine what disasters lay ahead.:tinfoilhat:
