It's not just Progressive Talk radio that's going through a tough time---it's the whole industry. Clear Channel and several other radio broadcast groups are drowning in debt and it's expected that many radio stations will be up for sale soon:

Many of their media holdings have lost them hundreds of millions but have returned great power and political influence.
The left needs to stop renting the media from right-wing owners. Our campaign donations to lefty politicians just end up in the hands of Clear Channel, Sinclair, Murdoch, etc.
George Soros invested some money in Air America Radio in the beginning. But the original Air America executives burned through tens of millions of dollars without even buying any stations which is the key. Liberal radio needs a do-over even though Air America created a U.S. Senator and TV news star in Rachel Maddow.
What we need is for someone like Robert F. Kennedy, Jr to organize an effort to encourage liberal investors to buy up radio stations---Ted Turner, Oprah and Soros are possible investors.
Tom Monaghan, Founder of Domino's Pizza, bankrolls the 130 stations of Catholic Radio nationwide:

Surely, a liberal radio network could match Catholic Radio in the number of stations. Peter B. Collins would be an excellent manager of a new and improved liberal radio network.
