The media fascination with "moderates" and "fiscal conservatism" |

Is it just me, or does the MSM have a fetish for "moderates" (aka right-wing Democrats) and "fiscal conservatives"? They're cheering on Evan Bayh's new Corporate....I mean centrist caucus.

1. in their mind they do... there's nothing at all fiscally conservative about blu-dogz or the GOP |

they just use that as a talking point and then spend whatever they feel like.
I consider myself to be a fiscal conservative -- meaning I don't like to just throw money around without seeing some kind of measurable result. But when these people claim to be "fiscally conservative" it seems to mean that they hate domestic spending, unless it's law enforcement or privatized prisons -- and love spending billions on illegal wars and covert ops and all that is the MIC.
Which isn't conservative at all, really.

2. Not so much a fascination |
|
More like a self interest since fiscal conservatism since Reagan is actually code for pro-corporate government.
