Dictionaries 'redefine' meaning of marriage

Only two states have laws sanctioning same-sex marriages, but the unions have made it into other books.
The nation's leading dictionaries have changed their definitions of marriage to recognize same-sex relationships.
The changes actually were made several years ago, before gay couples could legally tie the knot anywhere in the United States. But they only gained widespread attention Tuesday after the conservative World Net Daily news site published an article about the Merriam-Webster entry.
The Springfield, Mass. company now includes a secondary meaning for "marriage" that includes same-sex relationships.
