This isn’t rocket science.
Television and newspapers are full of reports about the economy, professionals and professional pretenders opine on whether this stimulus or that bailout will work.

A simple question is the test of any economic plan. Just ask yourself “What would bush do?” Then don’t do it.

If we consider that supply side and free market and all the voodoo economic wet dreams of the neocons have had a free run for way long enough to have succeeded if they were going to, we can cast aside the republican (and neo-demopublican) suggestions. We know that their ideas are bad. We are paying the price for their experimentation with the world’s economy.

So if they say cut taxes, raise them. If they say cut spending, expand. If they say free market, work toward fair market.

This is simple. In a world of honest people, they should just apologize and ask what they can do to help. They would if they had any decency. But they are the same kind of people who worked at AIG and sucked up public money in million dollar bonuses as a reward for total failure. They have no conscience and can’t be trusted. They may talk post-partisanship, but they are lying.

So maybe listening to them isn’t a bad idea. Hear their ideas. Discuss their theories for fixing our world’s financial mess. Consult on the best plan of action.

Then do exactly the opposite.
