Horrible reasons to hate Obama: from my friends |
|
Edited on Thu Mar-19-09 09:33 AM by leftyladyfrommo
Sometimes I just can't believe people - and these are my friends talking.
One who was a huge Bush supporter even after it was obvious he was an idiot - well actually worse than an idiot.
She doesn't like Obama because he is dumb about dogs.
Another friend calls me nightly to tell me about obama gaffs. She doesn't like Michelle because she thinks she is a clothes horse. And she doesn't like that she wears clothes that show her well toned arms.
And this was her interpretation of putting a swing set out back of the White House. She figured Obama must be out of his mind with worry over all that is happening and just couldn't take having the kids inside making noise for one more minute.
I am seriously think some of my friends might be a little crazy. These people were dead serious.

1. I think you might have to re-think who your friends are. I sure did and am |
|
happier for it. Of course, they will continue this with your permission if you allow it.

4. Except I've known her for almost 40 years. |

You don't just drop old friends like that when they kind of go wonkers.

5. These people live in denial land. |
|
Obama could walk on water and they would complain that his shoes were causing pollution.
Its probably true that Obama is dumb about dogs. But give the poor guy a break. I don't think he ever even owned one.
Her argument - and I have no idea if this is even true - is that Bush set out to shut down puppy mills. And she really liked him for that.
I find that hard to believe considering his record on protecting the environment.

12. Obama is the first ever to be endorsed by the |
|
Human Society for his work in helping dogs. So your friend is behind the times...tell her to check the Society's web-page.

in spite of what he did? I'll bet they'd like to have a beer with him.
Who needs enemies with "friends" like that. Time is of no consequence.

10. I have a standard reply for people that I consider friends that spout this crazy shit |
|
I always reply that I am saddened because I always thought they were smarter than this and I valued their opinions because they were usually well informed. Sometimes I offer that if I wanted to get the opinions of lying, drug addicted blowhards, I would tune in directly to Rush Limbaugh or Fox News. I don't need to hear the bullshit secondhand.

11. Friend #1 is right in a way, I don't think that Obama is a dog-wise person |
|
Not that there is anything wrong with that, but I don't think he has ever had a dog before. At least he will have the support of the staff to raise it. Everybody has a first time in this area. In the big scheme of things, does it really matter?
Friend #2 is a bit jealous. What she doesn't like about Michelle is what she wishes she had, lots of clothes that hang well on her and tones arms. What major gaffs has Obama made? I also don't think she realizes how big the WH is, the Oval office isn't in hearing distance of the Residence. He probably hears more noise outside since he can see the swingset from his office. My guess is he put the swingset there because he enjoys watching his kids play. I can't imagine the President leaving his daughter to go on vacation while she has surgery for appendicitis like a former President did. Or perhaps it wasn't appendicitis. Whatever. This President loves his kids, and puts them first. The former President was embarassed by his kids.
