Actor Mike Ferrell was on Fox Noise (BO) this evening. |
|
I was surfing and found the Bill Orally Rerun at 10pm CDT. He argued effectively with BO and claimed his patriotism -- wouldn't let BO get the best of him in discussing Iran and the situation with the Brit prisoners.
Mike Ferrell was there to talk about his autobiography of growing up and making his dreams come true.

1. I heard another recent interview with Ferrel |
|
He talked about the curious relationship he's developed with BO. He said that BO shows him respect and they never seem to get into the usual stuff we see on Bill's show. I forget right now the specifics of it - but there's one issue on which they agree. And that was the basis for things staying calm during their discussions. It might have been the death penalty, but don't quote me.

5. Farrell was on The Bill Press Show (radio) |
|
Bill O'Reilly says he's against the death penalty, but the context is usually, his saying: I'm neither a liberal nor a conservative because I'm against the death penalty.
I've never seen O'Reilly do a "Talking Points Memo" arguing we need to abolish the death penalty, or a segment of his show on an exonerated person who had been on death row.

6. Oops. Sorry and apologies to him and his fans. It "looked' |
|
right to me, so I went with that spelling. I am normally a stickler for spelling and getting names right, but at this hour and after 10 ounces of wine, I am prone to screwing up.
I like the guy.

3. Mike Farrell is a great activist |
|
...and a decent human being. I've been a fan -- well, since M*A*S*H. Glad to hear he gave BO what for.

BJ Hunnicutt gives me diabetes.
But I admire Farrell's social activism.

8. See if you can find the books MASH and MASH Goes to Maine |
|
Both by Richard Hooker. I read them when I was a kid and they are terrific. MASH Goes to Maine bears no resemblance to the crappy AfterMASH.
Also one summer I went to camp with Alan Alda's kids. One of them borrowed a quarter from me. I'm sure I embarrassed the hell out of her when I requested repayment with a check signed by her father, but I had such a crush on Alan Alda.
