6. We already have a species of ground beetle (LasVegas) which grows to about 5 inches.

They're ugly as fuck, fly, and are enough to scare me into cardiac arrest when I see them occasionally during the summer. They're a rarity but they do exist. They look just like the picture in the OP, only about the size of the child's palm rather than the whole hand.
