Seriously, why do threads about Infrastructure sink like stones?
It's something that people use every day.

It's something that people can have an impact on, by getting involved in their community.

Is it the fact that there's no visceral right / wrong?

That deciding which options are best requires, um, thinking.

Or is it something else?

16. If the stones are sinking
that's a bad foundation for infrastructure.

7. LOL...when it's all a done deal...
and the constructive construction is under-way, as soon as there is a problem there'll be lots of attention. I've glanced at the shit-load of projects in my state, but haven't seen any contracts awarded yet. I guess you don't get to see who's bidding?

12. So far..not much..
it's only construction which for me is one of those things that you don't know what you have till it's gone. I am looking forward to seeing what's going to be done with the money for education, and health care. Being in Massachusetts, both of those things should stir interesting ideas.

8. I'm not sure what morality is
I think our current system is very impractical which leads to all sorts of so-called "immoral" results. IE, global warming, senseless oil wars.

But maybe that's all part of God's Plan so it's ok

'Course it depends on what the current outrage is around here. But guarantee it'll work! :)

20. because everybody generally agrees we need to improve it.
Now, if you start a thread about power transmission lines being "PC" then you'll fly to the top all day.

Or... Bridge construction workers throw cigarette butts on the site! OH NOSE!
Or... City wants to circumcise subway cars (whatever that would look like)
Or... Building a high speed rail line into San Francisco would play politically into the anti-gay forces hands, and we'd lose the election.

It's all in how you word it.;)
