"Religulous" and "Milk" receive Rotten Banana awards from Ted Baehr's fundie nut Movieguide

Along with awarding the best in family films, Movieguide also initiated the “Rotten Banana” awards for the films that have most contributed to the “corruption of culture.” This is actually the most entertaining part of the report. They have identified the “Twenty Worst Movies of 2008.” The “Bigoted Bile Award” for the worst film of 2008 went to Bill Maher’s Religulous. I’m sure Bill would consider this an honor. Houndog, featuring a rape scene with twelve-year old Dakota Fanning, won in the “pedophile sexploitation” category. Milk made both the Academy’s list and Movieguide’s. So it gets and Oscar and a rotten banana. The other Academy winner that received a rotten banana was The Reader. Although I chose not to see either film, I’m sure Kate Winslet’s performance was as amazing as Sean Penn’s in Milk, but the film itself won the banana for being the “worst Nazi pedophile sexploitation film.”
