Too funny, local reporter wearing bright safety vest in Penn reporting on the acid spill |
|
as if her safety is a concern of anyone.

to wear the vest. It would be totally uncool to appear on television without the vest for all of OSHA's eyes to see. The fine is big and both the employer and employee are liable. So what would you have her do to increase your enjoyment?

4. So any time I drive on a state or federal highway I have to wear a safety vest? |
|
As far as what I would have her do? Nothing, she is useless. Reporters can all be replaced with a text to voice system like the national weather service uses.

8. You are trying really hard to be stupid |

OSHA rules are for companies and people who are employed. She has to wear the vest if she is out of her vehicle and on or near the highway and her job requires her to be there.
You want this to be funny but it's not. Look elsewhere for humor.

9. I guess it's just that is is stupid and pointless to still have reporters |

text to voice easily replaces them and is more efficient.
But I do find it funny for a safety vest to be required on a useless thing.

3. Perhaps if she shed that jacket and got hit by a passing semi |

That would be really funny, right?

. . .
Although not required by law, I wear a safety vest -
the ones with the fluorescent X's on them when I'm cutting wood in the bush
I don't wanna get shot by a stupid hunter
