Bill Richardson announces his presidential bid on the Daily Show |
|
I don't know much about him but he said all the right things. If he meant the things he said about seriously pursuing alternative energy, getting out of Iraq immediately and universal health care, he's got my vote.
Anyone know more about him? New Mexico residents, what do you think?

1. I really liked the idea he had of an "Apollo" type program for alternative energy |

but I'm a Richardson supporter. There are a few little issues I want to know more about, but I really, really like his diplomatic experience, which I think we're going to need a whole lot of.

5. '08 is going to be about competence... |
|
...because of how painfully inept Bush has been.

3. He's probably the most experienced candidate running. |
|
He's been governor, obviously, an ambassador and a Congressman. He has close ties with Bill Clinton's presidency. I frankly think he is the kind of folksy guy that can be a concensus candidate in the general election. With him I don't think we will lose because one state screws up its vote counting.

7. That was an "exploratory committee." |
|
Don't you know what a huge difference that is from "running." :eyes:

10. If you saw the interview he said first you announce that you're thinking about running... |
|
Then you announce that you're seriously thinking about running, then you finally announce that you're running. That got some laughs.
Stewart asked him if he's still thinking about it or is he actually running. Richardson said something like "Yeah I'm running." It was pretty casual.

13. Richardson handled that impressively |
|
No arrogance but came off as intelligent. He impressed me as I have not seen that much of him. Actually, thought he might be a bit weak on issues. So Once again, we have some really good candidates. Let the chips fall where they may! It's all good!
