Why Veterans do not get the truth from the American Legion |
|
Paul A Morin the Commander of the Legion is sending press releases all over the net to vets. Claiming The Senate and House do not support the troops. By putting time-lines in the Bill for Funding Iraq. The Democrats are not supporting the troops and are not funding them. Instead Democrats are placing pork in front of their support for the troops
no link it came by email. This is the puke that claimed he was a Vietnam Veteran but never left stateside. BOSS has outed this guy big time. Larry Scott of VA Watchdog put both claims I was a Vietnam Vet and I am a Vietnam Era vet out. Morin was the one behind Bush when he said he would veto the House Bill. To All my Brother Vets Here pass the word on this puke.

I think Paul took me off his Christmas Card list after I kicked his ass about the nonsense with Kerry last year. My vet money goes to the DAV, AMVETS, the WWII Museum in New Orleans and the Navy Memorial and of course FRA.
Anybody got an feedback, good or bad about AMVETS? They are on my give to list right now.
BUY THE WAY I WAS A VIETNAM ERA VET. I SERVED DURING THE VIETNAM WAR BUT DID NOT SERVE IN VIETNAM. HOWEVER, I LATER SERVED IN A COMBAT ZONE. See how easy that was Paul. Just tell the fucking truth.
Obviously the American Legion wants to support the troops by keeping them in harm's way forever to cover for bush lies. Incredibly patriotic.

They stay bi-bartisan; at least that's what they tell me when I go there. They don't 'get into it" about the war, as in open discussion, in the lounge. It's discouraged but they did take interest in the Peace March on DC in '05.
They did and still do send care packages, every month, to service people 'in country'.

I'm retired Navy, love my country, loved my service but I am constantly wary of Vets groups. I look very closely at AMVETS literature and find no politicing (which is good.) Several years back I was giving money to an organization for Disabled Vets but it turned out to be fraudulent. I just wanna get burned once.

I'm so freaking (either lazy) or myopic. I miss so much, but if there ever was a veteran for peace, that would be me.

9. I actually asked about it. |
|
Ya know, if talking about the war was ok and I was told that they try to stay away from that. I'm in the Women's Aux. That's for those that didn't serve but are related to those that have served. I joined when my son was sent to Iraq and they were all very kind and supportive to me. They give monthly dinners, at the hall, to disabled vets. They go get them out of the hospital. I like the charity work they do. You should join! When you're a member, you can go to any AMVETS in the USA!

don't say you never served. You are one of those(us) who actually DO something FOR our country. And you gave birth to one our troops whom I support. What greater service could there be? Bless you and I wish you and your family fair winds and following seas. (Navy speak for an easy time of it.)

12. Your sig flag needs to be retired. |
|
I hate seeing ragged flags!
Like all those people who ran out and bought one for the first time on 9/12/01 and left it up in the rain, at night, ect etc. That pisses me off, because those people show no respect.
- I understand why your's is upside down, and I get the imagry of it, but i wanted to interject that. Carry on.

...right through when they supported Mussolini in Italy (pre Pearl Harbor), right up until today.
Fuck them with a big, thorny stick, IMO. They are the exact opposite of 'patriots'.

15. And what did he have to say about Republicans and Walter Reed? |
|
As I recall he somehow managed to say what a disgrace it was without ever mentioning whose responsibility it was.
