Wal-Mart puff piece on CBS This Morning
They briefly mentioned that "Wal-Mart is not liked by everyone." But the overall message was that Wal-Mart is a piece of Americana, and makes this nation great. Yuck.

3. It did look like an ad.
They came out and said that Wal-Mart's claim was that their low prices were good for everyone, which they used to gloss over the fact that they pay their labor indentured servant wages. Hurray for Wal-Mart! Hurray for America!

10. "indentured servant wages" , I've said before that this is
not true really. I worked there and made fairly good wages for this area of the country and for the type of work. There was a post on here a week or so ago about a job listing that demanded all kinds of things including a 2 year degree or equivalent experience and the wage was $10 an hour. I made better than that working at Walmart with no experience, no degree and working part-time (by choice). So how is Walmart worse than the other job? I'm not sure if I'm remembering right but I think it was a computer repair job. Wilmar may not be the best place to work, but it is by far not the worst.

11. I've heard other experiences
Like department managers that made 75 cents over minimum wage, for example. It's great that you had good experiences with them, but the stories I have heard in multiple cases make me think that your experiences are the exception and not the rule.

7. The piece was about the birthday of Sam Walton, under whom Wal-Mart was
a great company. Since his death, it has changed considerably.
