1. It didn't dawn on me to take any pictures
but I did look outside and my end of my block was dark.

I was pleasantly surprised by that.

2. Like last year.
I had the camera at hand, but there wasn't any change. And I didn't feel like tromping out in the mud to take a photo of my window with the light on and off.

5. I missed Earth Hour this year. :(
I participated last year, but this year I was out at a wedding reception. Though during that time my lights weren't on at home, so I guess in a sense I participated after all. :)

Glad to see the concept is catching on, to the point where Google even had an Earth Hour logo yesterday.

Wonder if it could be promoted to a once-a-month status in time? I think people would be amazed at how much energy is conserved over only one hour per month, especially if all those big-city lights go out. And amateur astronomers would have a field day!

7. big drops in power in some cities
http://au.sys-con.com/node/896905">The numbers are still coming in but according to Toronto Hydro electricity use dropped a whopping 15.1 per cent in Toronto and across Ontario the IESO reported a more than 6 per cent drop.
