1. They make 'em in polyester, too!
Call the KS state house--ask to speak to one of their procurement people, and find out where they get theirs. That might be a good trick!

Or you could try these guys, they've been in biz since the late sixties: http://www.koscoflags.com/product.asp_Q_catID_E_1_A_subCatID_E_88_A_Kansas_State_Flag_E_Kansas_State_Flag

3. I started looking for an answer but found a lot of conflicting information
Edited on Mon Mar-30-09 08:25 PM by ddeclue
about what "standard" meant so I gave up on researching it. It might mean 40x28 inches, it might mean 36 x 24, it might mean something else depending on which "expert" you consult.

Perhaps someone here has the definitive answer - From what I read, I would suspect that U.S. military protocol at some point governs the issue of flag sizes but even from what I read online I couldn't find anything that seemed authoritative.

:(

5. Mine is about 2 1/2 by 5
Get one that has the stars and stripes sewn together, rather than printed on a piece of cloth. The printed ones look really tacky.
