The President cannot be proud of what is happening on DU lately
President Obama has made it clear that he will not allow the "appearance of retaliation or prosecution motivated by policy differences" of the Bush criminals.

President Obama reconciled Senator Lieberman to the Democratic Party despite his poor decisions and lack of loyalty.

President Obama has worked tirelessly to bring Republicans in line with his policies, wining, dining, and general hospitality above and beyond expectations.

Our President has been willing to set aside differences and not just communicate with his rivals but make them part of his team.

On DU lately, there has been open hostility against anyone who questions whether the President's policies may be wrong or compromised in some way. Fellow DU'ers who put policy before politician are outright attacked and sometimes rudely and senselessly. But this kind of behavior is not something the President would condone or use even against his rivals, even when the world thinks some of these Republicans are war criminals or have created a potential global economic collapse. What would President Obama think of the treatment of fellow DU'ers who were brothers and sisters during the campaign but still hold steadfastly to their Progressive principles over the President himself.

But even the President is delaying meeting with the Progressive Caucus so maybe some DU'ers are right and Progressives are the real enemy and the President would support the hateful words seen so frequently these days.

No, he wouldn't.

4. change is scary for any side of the problem and it is coming.
My children hate to hear me say that but I swear we are in the middle of a great social revolution and every one must face it. What to keep and what to get rid of is going to be hard on us all. Bush was just the last gasp of the old ways I think. I an not so sure I like all that Obama is doing but I am watching.

6. Oh yes and it was one of the great points of this country
What I have trouble with is this same middle class are the ones that voted in Bush and RR. Two men who seemed to have it in their minds that they were born to rule us all. The so called 'royals' know best. I just drop out of being on the voting list of the GOP when RR ran.I had been having trouble with my thinking for years on what the GOP were doing. I knew the party of my father was gone. My God we grew up and thought 'It took a village' to raise your children and if You made your village better every one was better off and that took education and taxes. Not that my father liked taxes as his rate would kill any one. .

7. Bull Shit, There has been a CONSENTRATED effort
By a small group to demonize President Obama at nearly every turn.
It hasn't gone unnoticed and until now the push back has been very
minimal in my opinion.

I live in a VERY strong Republican district and I can tell you this
Much of what I have read and fought back against on these local forums
is the exact same shit that I see these so called Democrats, Progressives
and Left leaning Independents who have been posting this shit on D.U Lately.

I for one am sick and tired of seeing my home turf turned into a fucking Obama
bashing Freeper loving orgy of putrid shit

You want the RIGHT to slam President Obama at every turn WITHOUT any push back ?

Go to Free Fucking Republic, They will love you there.

10. Is your comprehension so limited, so binary,

that you can only conceive of Ds & Rs? Please. Perhaps the problem is that there has not been a genuine viable left in this country since WWII. And as the true left emerges from the ashes the pretenders are justly alarmed that their jig is up. By all means, I welcome the 'push back'. Every time that happens it does nothing but reveal the weakness of it's author's position. Just like this post I'm answering.
