The Impending Perfect Wingnut Hate Storm

We've all seen the warning signs and heard the angry cries from Wingnuttia - but it's time to stop laughing and recognize a very real threat that faces this nation.

Here are IMO four potential catalyst events which could spark this kind of coalescence -

1.The Firing of BlackWater/Xe by the State Dept in Iraq, putting thousands of heavily trained and right-out of the war/post-stress impacted merceneries OUT Of A JOB.
Blackwater has been fired by the State Department from its job protecting U.S. diplomats in Iraq.

Executives of the controversial U.S. security company were notified today by the State Department that its five-year, $1.2 billion contract for services in Iraq will not be renewed in May, U.S. officials tell ABC News. The contract provides yearly options for cancellations.

After working for noted Right-winger (and End-Times/Christian Supamacist) Erik Prince, these guys are ripe for Militia Recruitment. Just multiply Tim McVeigh by 1,000 and add seething hatred. What do you do when you're a former paid killer, go back to parking cars?

2.Re-instatment of the Assault Weapons Ban which originally fostered the Gingrich Revolt on '94.
3.Allowing for Government to "Take-Over" and fix Pseudo-Banks like AIG - something Newt Gingrich has already called something akin to a "Dictatorship".

And the coup de grace?

4.Repealing "Don't Ask - Don't Tell". (Which at the moment seem to be on the back-burner)
These are the wingnuts worst nightmares, and rest assured the selfish self-aggrandizing power-whores among them (Beck, Gingrich, O'Reilly, Malkin, Ingraham, Bachmann, Cantor, Boehner, Cornyn and McConnell) will NOT stop their fear and hate-mongering once the blood start flowing.

More than likely - they'll AMP IT UP.

I'm certain that innocent Americans will suffer for it, we just have to make sure those who incite political violence, as well as those who perpetrate it aren't allowed to get away with it.

It is easy to laugh at different things that come up such as Michelle Bachmann, birthers, etc. However, there are a lot of seriously angry and disturbed people who take this stuff deadly seriously. Somebody needs to call them on it, and yank some sense into some people. The members of Congress especially need to have someone give them a quiet talk.

7. Do you not understand how unimportant it is that the company lost the contract?

Here is something you need to know about how that part of the world (the contracting world) works. About a dozen people will lose their jobs, at the top. The work will go on and it will still be the same people doing the work. Another company or a group of companies, each very much like Xe, will bid for and win the contract(s) that follow and they will hire the thugs on the ground right on the spot. So the guys on the streets with the guns will still be the same guy, and their immediate bosses will still be the same people, they will simply report to a different boss back at Headquarters, and the headquarters will probably be within earshot of the old Xe.

In short, nothing will really change.

12. This powder keg scenario is not new

Connecting the dots can lead to paranoia. Sure, there is a possibility of a whole lot of things coming together to create the perfect storm, but that's always the case and the eventuality that Blackwater/Xe will be shooting up all the gays in the military and in the government because assault weapons are banned is pretty small. And yes, mercenaries can quit and live normal lives without killing everyone around them. They do it all the time. If they miss the lifestyle, being mercenaries and therefore mostly in it for money, they'll hire themselves out to anyone and anywhere, like African countries or anywhere else where government leaders fear for their lives or want to take over.
