Do you think that testimony today by Kyl Sampson has put him in legal jeopardy?? |

I don't think there is anything that he said that would get him in trouble. Abu is toast. We aren't much further into knowing what happened. I think the biggest revelation was the weekly white house meetings where the firings were discussed and more of Miers involvement.
Asides from that I don't think anyone is going to admit to Lam's investigations being the real reason they took her on.
The rest of the "interviews" will be done in closed session with a transcript. Then we will see if there is any there there. I don't feel all that hopeful.
Someone cheer me up.

1. Lam's firing could end up in obstruction charges if someone rolls. |
|
But I think they will burn in hell before that.

Excecutive privilage cannot be called because it is not about direct meetings with Bush. Sampson has exposed Gonzo's lie. Gonzo will be questioned and it will be a sqirming, weasely grand old time. I can hardly wait. Break out the popcorn grandma grand daddy's gonna put on a show! :dem:

5. But Gonzo's testimony is not going to be public? I thought the |
|
closed sessions were only to be KKKRove and Meirs.

4. McNulty's revised testimony |
|
could implicate him in more than he let on.
But the sweet spot was what I had hoped for---he tied Gonzo to the train tracks and the Democratic Express Bullet Train is on time.

7. Well, "performance is plastic" keeps him in the zone of ambiguity. |
|
However, he remembers so little details that emails and other communications will solidify.
So,...hmpf.

I agree that Gonzo is a goner and Harriet Miers has a lot of questions to answer (in public and under oath).
Perhaps no one in the regime is going to admit that Lam's investigations are the real reason they took her on, but no one outside the regime is going to believe anything else.
Otherwise, he seemed to contradict his own e-mails at times. To say that Karl Rove was involved and that there was nothing political simply makes no sense. It's almost an oxymoron.
