Order of Christian "knights" seeking to recruit CIA, CSIS, and MI5 professionals...
File under WTF?

Welcome to the Sphinx Priory

Welcome to the Homepage for The Sphinx Priory. The Priory is an official representative of The Most Honourable Order of Christian Knights of the Rose. It is hoped that you will find this site to be an informative source on the above-stated Order and chivalry in general.

Our parent body, The Most Honourable Order of Christian Knights of the Rose, or Knights of the Rose (CKR), is the first ecclesiastical order of chivalry established in the third millennium of the Christian Era. It was formed in the year of our Lord, 15 January 2001, and received a Charter of Authority from Bishop Peter Compton-Caputo July 4, 2001.

The Sphinx Priory is attached to the Office of the Grand Master and is for those with bona fide service in intelligence work - its membership operates as an advisory group to the High Council and handles its own mission projects. Members currently serve, or have served, in operational roles within Intel Agencies, Military Services or Law Enforcement at Federal, State or Local levels. Are you such an individual?

As a Christian order of chivalry, the Order has the following the mandates:

+ To preserve and foster the virtues of Christian chivalry & knighthood +

+ To provide an avenue of mutual support among members +

+ To assist in mission work - with a special focus on those Christians facing severe
persecution for their faith +

+ To come to the aid of others in need regardless of their colour, creed, or religion. +

2. It looks like just another little fraternal organization,
this one being specifically for those in intelligence agencies. Nothing particularly interesting.

7. Why not? They have lives outside their jobs, I'm sure.
Doctors get together. So do military officers. So do police. Why not intel folks?

8. Creepy, sinister, and dangerous.
This unseemly mixture of church and state in which "Members currently serve, or have served, in operational roles within Intel Agencies, Military Services or Law Enforcement at Federal, State or Local levels" yet at the same time are supposed to "assist in mission work," etc., endangers other missionaries and aid workers by raising the suspicion that they are only there as a front for intelligence gathering and covert operations.

9. Buncha morons. They just formed recently and are trying
to be something. Here's a photo of their Los Angeles Chapter (the only one as near as I can tell) at their "Investiture" at Mission San Juan Batista.

Buncha old conservo-farts, it looks like to me. Barbeques and drinking. No action at all.
