Senate voting now on McCain's "Budget Substitute". That was quick.
I just heard yesterday that he planned to do this. He must have been up til the wee hours last night.

2. Is it over already? Yes, McCain thought the Senate rethugs
should present a budget. No one was interested, so he came up with one himself. I take it it didn't go over well?

McCain and budget; sounds sort of oxyMORONic.

It appears that 38 Republicans will automatically vote for anything with an (R) attached and against anything with a (D).

That leaves us with, at the absolute most, 62 votes on any contentious bill. 61, actually, with the situation in MN.

If anyone wonders why it's so difficult to get 60 votes on difficult bills, the math looks pretty clear after this vote.
