I don't know, but isn't that a little unimaginative? I'd much prefer "The Mr. Ed Show"..."Get it straight from the horse's mouth!" What about you?

1. Ed likes to brand himself as down-to-earth, straightforward, and uncomplicated.

This goes with his image.

2. I had the same thought, but it really doesn't matter.

I'm guessing he probably wanted to call it "The Big Ed Show", but that would probably sound a bit egotistical.

5. I like the simplicity of the name.

Besides, no one who wasn't at least a child in the 60's would know who Mr. Ed was anyway.
