Report from the other side of the planet: Bush hatred alive and well.

My wife and have been travelling for the last week, and are now on Koh Tao, Thailand. Today we encountered our first American, at a beachfront bar that is popular with British ex-pats. The bartender was a Brit, kind of a welcome relief after a week of pointing, gesturing, and generally mangling the local tongue.

The bartender heard us talking and said that he used to go months without seeing any Americans, but over the last couple of years he's seen more and more of us. Then said "It's that fucking Bush! He's destroyed the world, people are just getting out to see it while they still can!"

The other American guy said "If I'm going to watch all my money disappear, at least I'd rather do it this way! (travelling)."

I couldn't agree more.
