4. Hope he gets locked up and not acquitted on appeal. From what I've read,
he's an insane gun nut.

5. I'm glad it's guilty but
Second degree? He point blank shot this woman in the face. I hope it's hell for him in there.

6. 2nd degree is when you assault without intent to kill, right?
A non-premeditated killing, in other words.

But then I get confused about manslaughter.

8. The prosecution didn't charge him with first degree ...
The jury had the choice of 2nd degree or manslaughter. So they couldn't convict him on first degree ... that is not the jury's prerogative.

7. very famous record producer...see link
The originator of the "Wall of Sound" production technique, Spector was a pioneer of the 1960s' girl group sound and clocked in over twenty-five Top 40 hits between 1960 and 1965. In later years he worked with such artists as Ike and Tina Turner, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ramones with similar success, including production work on the Academy Award winning Let It Be and Grammy Award winning Concert for Bangladesh soundtracks. In 1989, Spector was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a non-performer.
The 1965 song "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'", produced and co-written by Spector for the The Righteous Brothers, is listed by BMI as the song with the most U.S. air play in the 20th century.

9. That's good. His story about her committing suicide was patently absurd.
