Just got an email from Senator Brownback regarding his appearances at Tea Day Parties... |
|
His message:
April 15th has the dubious distinction of being the day that reminds everyone why small, limited government is the best way to go.
I'm going to be spending Tax Day traveling across Kansas to attend Tea Parties in Junction City, Wichita and Topeka. These meetings will help draw attention to the irresponsible tax-and-spend policies contained in the stimulus package and the budget packages passed by the House and Senate. A bad precedent was set with the astronomical bailouts, and the President's budget just continues the wasteful spending. Plain and simple, the new budget spends too much, borrows too much, and most importantly, taxes too much!
Families across Kansas are trying to spend responsibly in this economic downturn, and its troubling that the federal government doesn't believe that it needs to tighten the belt as well. The spending policies of the current administration have far reaching consequences, and none of us want our children and grandchildren to have to pay for the irresponsible spending that's going on now.
My response...
Hey, Senator!
Want to avoid high taxes? Then don’t take this country and its citizens into unnecessary wars based on lies.
$720 million A DAY??? Who’s going to pay for that?
And what are you doing to investigate the 50,000 accounts of American tax cheats in Switzerland’s UBS Bank? Think maybe if you got them to pay their taxes, the pressure might lighten a little for the rest of us?
Savvy? name
Incidentally, Senator. According to the Tax Foundation, in 2005 each dollar a Kansan paid in federal income taxes came back as $1.12 in federally-funded programs. But we Kansans pay too much in taxes? How do you figure?

Where the hell was Sam when Bush was spending $720 million a day in Iraq?:grr:
Lynn Jenkins is going to the tea parties as well.
I can't put into words how much I despise these people.

16. Be careful, though. Hy-Vee's prices can be higher than Whole Foods... |
|
I buy Forest Roast's line of veggie sausages: Chipotle, Italian, and (my favorite) Smoked Apple-Sage :9
At Whole Foods it's $4.99 for a pack of four.:) At Hy-Vee it's $6.59!!! x(
$1.60 more at Hy-Vee!
I appreciate Hy-Vee's addition of organic and natural food varieties to its inventory, but I don't understand its pricing policies...

2. Ask Sen. Brownback if he's so concerned about wasteful spending, |
|
why he isn't looking into the millions of taxpayer dollars WASTED in Iraq? Work paid for but never completed, or not done at all...and then there's money that's just MISSING. Not accounted for, nobody has looked into it...it's just gone.
I asked Sen. Inhofe about it and haven't gotten a response back from him.
Fiscal conservatives my ass.
