The video is about the changes that will hapen on YouTube. Like, for example, the pushing of partners and the smaller channels' views getting cut. This is not a rickroll or a screamer. Watch!

5. You think that's serious? |

That's nothing. Get a load of THIS. It'll put the fear of God in you and push it right back out.

Traditional media is in a bind.
Because they've had shitty managers for 15 years who killed diversity and ignored the wants/needs of huge segments of potential media consumers, they've lost readers/viewers/listeners.
Web 2.0 was created by people with soulless $70k day jobs (or on their way to them), living in jealousy of people with $20k-40k "glamor" jobs, who often didn't have any more say in their work than a DoD contracting engineer.
Have you not noticed how many digital / social media figures there are trying desperately to become the next Richard Branson, a la personal branding, and yet skip over the fact Branson made his money because he had a product to bring to the market that people wanted - and that product wasn't Richard Branson?
The people making money on Web 2.0 are people who have something to sell.
The average day-job person on Twitter who is there promoting their blogs, their videos, and their network acquaintances' blogs and vids, has no idea they are participating in one huge circle-jerk to get that .04 from Google Adsense for every 2k page views. They also don't realize that if not for the output from that $20k-$40k earner, whose jobs are disappearing wholesale, they wouldn't have any content in the first place.
The last thing corporate-owned media wants right now is another 40 thousand unemployed, creative, people with direct knowledge of how badly their businesses are run and nothing to lose.
It's all a huge catch-22 right now.
