My point is that, by not addressing specific complaints about the President, this poll is way too vague and simplistic to reveal anything useful or meaningful about the public's attitude toward him. The wording lends it an intrinsic negative bias that can only mislead and invite abuse from the right.

11. It's an online poll

The population is self-selecting. The questions are sloppy. The resulting numbers have no significance. That's common in these things, and everyone understands that.

I'd still like to see the high grades get the majority of votes. That's irrational and emotional, but there it is.

12. I think you caught the major problem of my view of the poll

It is meaningless without a chance to describe the reason for your view. I never thought that Obama was the be all/end all savior of the universe. He has proven to be what I expected, better than Bush III but too in love with the financial community to give them the kick in the ass they need.

13. It reminds me of the polls that showed greater disapproval of Congress than of Bush.

And over the last few years, Bush supporters just loved to gloat about it every chance they got. They just couldn't grasp that people disapproved of Congress largely because Congress refused to impeach Bush.
