Donohue is a typical right wing bully. I have to figure that many Catholics are offended as I am by this man and I wish they would come out and say it. All he does is name call and spew hatred and violence as he searches for ways to silence people—in this case telling Cosmo that he's lucky he doesn't cut off his head. And his offense? Digby: But until the Catholic Church steps up and says that this screaming nutcase Bill Donohue and his band of freaks don't speak for them, I'm going to have to assume that the Catholic Church agrees with his lunatic ravings.—So it must be the medium. There was "bloom" all over the piece, meaning he didn't know how to temper it properly before he cast it.

of the sculpture (I personally have NO problem with it). But, I have to think that even those who might question the appropriateness would be siding with Cavallaro after that interview. My God, Donahue is such an absolute asshole...

13. I used to be willing to cut the Catholic church a lot of slack

in spite of their stupid position on abortion and birth control. They were often the only voice for the downtrodden in Latin America (and sometimes suffered mightily for it) and their charitable efforts elsewhere in the world were not accompanied by the proselytizing that often characterized fundamentlist missionary efforts. However, the actions of the current pope, the whining slef-procalimed vicitmization of assholes like Donohue, and the refusal of the church to face up to and root out the pervs in their clergy has pretty much turned me off. And a lot of fundies don't even consider Catholics to be Christians.

So if they want to be victims so bad, I'm willing to accommodate them. Right on chocolate Jeebus guy!!
