Can we impeach Rep. Bachmann (R) from MN? |
|
I live in Minnesota and have gotten tired of the lunatic rantings of Rep. Bachmann. Now I don't live in her district so I did not get to vote against her in the 2008 election cycle, but can anyone ask for a member of Congress from their state call for their removal?
I can't believe anyone in Minnesota can be happy with her behavior, or having Olbermann say she was the Representative from Mars.

1. KO really should not be calling her the Representative |
|
from Mars--it's insulting to our extra-terrestrial brothers and sisters--besides--THEY did not vote for her, either.

3. NO!! Please!! I LOVE her!! |

That walking freak show not only supplies endless amusement, she's a political gaper's block. The more Middle America sees her crazy self representing the GOP on TV, the quicker that party descends into irrelevance.

4. The best we can do is hope that Tarryl Clark (Asst. Majority Leader of State Senate) runs. |
|
She wants to run for gov, but I don't think she can beat the bigger names in that primary. If she ran for the House of Reps, she would beat Bachmann. She's very smart, charismatic, and a real progressive.

5. I don't think so. The only way to get her out is to vote her out or hope she gets |
|
cht doing something horribly illegal and have the House Ethics Committee and the other House Pubs demand her resignation.

6. I understand her last victory was a squeaker |

and I can't imagine any district is nuts enough to keep her out there, ranting, and making the state of Minnesota look like it's got more idiots per square mile than any state in Dixie.
It's unfortunate her district is full of white bread suburbanites going to wingnut churches, but they're not all crazy, not even in that one district. Eventually, the reasonable people are going to be motivated to get off their couches, register and vote to get rid of her.
If she wins in 2010, I will be very surprised.

As a federal office holder, she can'te even be recalled (assuming Minnesota has provisions to recall state/local officials).
