3. Thank you big oil
Why can`t anyone remember that the oil companies started this whole mess.Funny puke in the WH oil shortage, democrat in office oil glut ethanol plants shutting down, lack of demand.Peoples lives destroyed while the rich have gotten richer and more powerful. What will we get for all our efforts? Most likely by 2012 a more evil and more power hungry puke than the last 4 in the WH.Just my opinion but history does seem to repeat itself.

4. I love my vibe... gets 40 on the highway.. ~sigh~
Edited on Mon Apr-27-09 08:18 AM by Peacetrain
Edit to add...my 2004 Vibe does better than the hybrids, the seats are the best in the industry, and cargo room to spare.. why they did not market this car better is beyond me. My vibe is a 2004, with over 100,000 miles and no issues.

I found it by accident..literally, had an accident and needed a new car. Everyone I know who has one, has raved about how much they love that car..

It is a jewel.. and they did not really get it out there

That is actual 40 mpg highway..and close to 36 intown..

6. Maybe they'll keep the Vibe
It would make a nice Chevy.

7. From your lips, to the Chevy CEO's... I was going to buy another one this year
and let my son have this car. I have never loved a car as much as I love that Vibe. It is without a doubt the best seats of any car. Who ever designed those seats got it right.

8. The Pontiac Vibe and Toyota Matrix are essentially the same vehicle,
coming off the same assembly line at the NUMMI plant in Fremont, CA.

It wouldn't shock me to see the car rebadged as a Chevy model, given its relative success and apparent owner loyalty.

12. Are all 21,000 of those jobs American jobs?
What a damn shame. Another huge chunk of unemployed, just like that.
