9. The other problem is the tech we have is not delivered.
Do you have the best medical care in the world if no one gets it?

10. Yeah. Right after Belize and the transnistric republic.

Being in the comfortable position of enjoying full mandatory coverage quite beats what I have experienced in the US so far.
But the 7% percent price hikes every year aren't that cool either... Neither is paying for your neighbors ching-sung snake oil treatment to reinvigorate his "meridians" .. But that's life. I'd fight anyone to the teeth who would try to take it away. It's a nice feeling knowing that it'll be a clusterfuck, not an exclusive country swinger club when the whole system collapses. (People are placing their bets on 20, 25 years now but I'm sure in the EU that will happen sooner).

14. nope, 149 "suspected" due to this virus, 20 "confirmed".

but you only know that if you read further than the fear-mongering headlines.

http://www.forbes.com/feeds/ap/2009/04/27/ap6343467.html

Health Secretary Jose Angel Cordova says only 20 of the deaths have been confirmed to be from swine flu and the government was awaiting tests results on the rest.

12. .
I haven't seen a doctor for any reason in well over a decade. I don't see any reason why contracting swine flu (or any other flu for that matter) would change that. I'm sure most folks do not hope or intend that my lack of access to health care unnecessarily shorten or diminish my life. If I do happen to contract the swine flu you should know that I will not intentionally infect others. I probably won't even know if I have swine flu. Please consider that there are another fifty million or so folks just like me here in the US - roughly one in every six people. Maybe what goes around really does come around. Paybacks are hell.
