Obama raised only 4 million less than Clinton.
She actually raised 26 million, and he raised 22 million. She reported 36 million, because she transferred 10 million from her Senatorial campaign to her presidential campaign, and by law she had to report it.

The real story here, is how close Obama came to her in fundraising.

6. Drudge is a joke - I just checked the FEC and nothing is up on the site.
I believe the actual release date is a week to 2 weeks from now.

So we are working with ? what?

Perhaps a clerk saw something and reported it and Drudge is correct - but it is impossible to verify at this point,

Early today it was GOP Buzz that Clinton was at $23 million and Obama at $24 million.

We will see in due time.

8. True - the Globe just reported 50,000 donors, 80% $100 or less
Edited on Sun Apr-01-07 03:32 PM by papau
* $26 million raised in new receipts since launching her campaign on January 20
* 80 % of the contributions were $100 or less.
* $4.2 million raised on the internet (including $1 million in a week during the One Week, One Million campaign, and nearly $600,000 online in the 36 hours preceding the deadline)
* $6 million in total grassroots donations (internet plus direct mail and telemarketing receipts)
* 50,000 donors (tens of thousands of them new donors)
* Contributions received from residents of all 50 states (plus Washington, DC)
* $10 million transferred from Senator Clinton’s successful senate reelection account

From a Clinton press release.

Is there a similar Obama press release?
