He's been out of "heavy rotation" lately.
He can be the new, exciting face of brainless drivel, since anyone born in the 70s or later wouldn't remember him.

5. The younger voters may not know him |

but us old timers will find it a great pleasure to educate them regarding the cipher that is Quayle. Plenty of film and print survive to bear witness to his monumental ineptitude and inadequacy to hold national office.

Small government, laissez-faire. But who knows? GOP rhetoric has painted the whole party into a corner. It's going to require a transformative figure who deliberately repudiates part of the Republican tradition. The question is which part.

11. I think you're right about that. It is the whole concept behind the tea-baggers |
|
and they will attempt to conscript and enlarge the Ron Paul contingent.
The whole debate will focus on the role of government.

Jeb's the one, but I think it more likely he will end up a vice presidential pick to a stronger presidential candidate like Romney. But Jeb will run for prez, never doubt it. The Bush clan believe right down to their bones that the presidency is their rightful destiny.

10. I think Jeb will sit the next one out. He'll be 2016, IMHO. |

Whoever runs in 2012 is going to be facing and uphill slog and a likely defeat.

The Bush name may not have lost its tarnished shame in a mere four years' time. But I dearly hope the taint of W's presidency lasts too long for Jeb's presidential ambitions to become a reality. A girl can dream.

big money choice. Palin will not be a factor.
The GOP is a top-down organization. It's a vehicle of big money interests, and they will be steering the party. If their next candidate isn't Mitt Romney, it'll be someone like him.

14. Huckabee is the one to watch and probably the one who could come closest in an election. |
