Poll question: Which government/government official has proven most ignorant about the flu ?
Edited on Wed Apr-29-09 06:30 PM by hedgehog
The Egyptian government is slaughtering all pigs because it's called swine flu.

Governor Goodhair Perry wants to seal the Texas border.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio is issuing "flu protection gear" to his deputies.

on edit: Michelle Bachman suggests that flu pandemics are a Democratic thing.

1. I vote for Michele Bachmann
For claiming that it is an "interesting coincidence" that the last time there was a swine flu outbreak it happened under a Democratic President. Of course the last swine flu outbreak started when Ford was in office so Bachmann's claim is not even true, but even if it were true it would still be stupid because the flu does not spread on the basis of which party is in office.

6. She was implying that Democrats can't keep the US safe. Or worse,
that Democrats CAUSE these tings.

2. That's a tough one, but...
at least Sheriff Joe and Goodhair appear to be aware that one gets the flu from humans, even though they're both racist demagogues. So I had to vote "Egypt"
