3. DU doesn't pick the ads that pop up on "your beloved homepage" |
|
ads are generated by words on the page and your cookies. I don't even see the same ads that you see.
Did you know that if you click on the ad, the company will then pay for the ad?
And did you know that you can ignore the ad and nothing will happen?
You know what ads really offend me? The yellow teeth/stomach fat ads. Those are disgusting to look at.

I have also seen ads for Ann Coulter books, and even more bizarre, for Matt Blunt's campaign to be re-elected Governor of Missouri. An ad which did not mention that Blunt happens to be a Republican (which might be confusing because he was running against a Democrat named
wait for it -
Nixon).

17. So you can click it and they have to pay DU! LOL. |
|
You are not supposed to click ads just to help sites make money, of course. That would be like a $0.20 fraud.

I tried to see if you were the 140,000th member. Amazingly, you registered almost a month ago and were 139,177. So there have been almost 1,000 new registrations in the last month. That's a lot of new people!
