Specter: Jack Kemp's Death May Have Been Caused By GOP Priorities
Asked whether he believed that he had let people down by changing parties, Specter said issues like Republican attitudes towards cancer research had made him unhappy with the party. Specter went on to suggest that if Republicans had been more aggressive about cancer research, GOP luminary Jack Kemp would be alive today. The former GOP Congressman and vice-presidential nominee died over the weekend, at age 73, from cancer.

But he won't vote for health care?

2. what a fucking hypocritical piece of dog shit.
fuck arlen and fuck him hard. he's against health care reform with a public option, and lack of health care and vile pieces of shit like arlen are responsible for lots more people dying than the lack of cancer research under bushco.

4. Specter has a special interest in cancer.
He was a victim himself.

But you'd think that interest would extend to health care, wouldn't you? New breakthroughs won't help someone who can't pay for the treatment, and you can't just go to the ER for your regular chemo.
