The Supreme Court according to CBS

How embarrassing!

From last Friday's CBS Evening News:

In case you didn't catch it - that's Ted Stevens from Alaska not John Paul Stevens.

1. I took a few journalism classes ...

I never really intended it as a career path but was taking as many writing-centered classes as I could to explore different styles. One of those classes was taught by a grizzled old bastard who made all our lives hell for several months.

And we learned a lot.

Were he still alive, that man would have thrown these bastards that pass for journalists today up against a wall and beaten them to death with his bare hands.

He did not suffer stupidity easily.

3. But it could well be that the guy/gal who was assigned to put this together
was also attempting to do the work of two other people who have been laid off in the comp dept -- I had newspaper bosses who expected more and more miracles closer together as personnel dwindled.

4. LOL- not only that, but since Thurgood Marshall left, there haven't been any Liberals
on the court, although Stevens has moved a bit from the center right position of the 70's - early 90's. The corut consists of "moderate" corporatists- and the loony far right.

Yet another reason why I won't watch CBS. It's as pathetic as CNN.
