There are 40,000 lobbyists in Washington, DC,
and 90% of 'em don't give a rat's ass about you, me, the middle class, the poor, our country, health care for all, education, peace, freedom, the rule of law, our infrastructure, torture, our standing in the world, pollution, clean air, clean and safe water, consumer product safety, a safe food supply, history, economics, gay rights, civil rights, and a host of other subjects. They only care about FUCKING MONEY, and they own our government! Until the lobbyists are run out of town and corporate money is taken out of politics, nothing will get better in this country. The race to the bottom will continue.

We all know this, so when will we ever elect a President that actually does something about it and cleans up this fucking mess? Who is going to dismantle K Street? Will it take the next Great Depression before another FDR comes along to fix this shit?

1. And the big problem with all of that is most Congress Critters are probably on the take...
from these lobbyists. So, reality is we need to get rid of all/or most of the Congress in order to get the country straight. These Congress Critters are on both sides of the isle I'm sure.

2. Will it take ........ to fix this shit?
Publicly financed Federal elections to remove the temtation of campaign money.

A DOJ that has the balls to extend the RICO Act to the bribery of politicians by corporations that has already taken place.

3. A better proposal
Get the FUCKING MONEY out of our political process! Tell the F_____ing Supreme Court that corporations do not have the same free speech rights as human beings and that their money is not the equivalent of free speech. Unfortunately given the current composition of the court that's not gonna happen. Short of a constitutional amendment I'm not sure what the real answer is to the FUCKING MESS we're in!

6. I hear ya....
The biggest problem we face is apathy. Every citizen needs to be in touch with their local politicians and continuously keep expressing their views.

8. elect a President??...
there's about 535 other f***ers we need to worry about before we look for ONE answer...

the executive branch only gets away with what the Congress allows...

unfortunately, that has been a lot the past 8 years...

9. As George Carlin would say...
"They'll get it all, sooner or later, because they own this fucking place. It's a big club, and you ain't in it. You and I are not in the big club."

11. Plus, former Congresscritters ASPIRE to become lobbyists and many family members are lobbyists.
It's sickening. Is it any wonder that the American people are cynical and jaded about the chances for substantive change? I'm not knocking President Obama, but how much can he accomplish if the entire system has pervasive corruption?

12. That, and it's 40k jobs to be protected. Outsourced?
What's different from any other job in America?

Oh yea, it subverts and ruins democracy. Can these clowns, and fix this culture of corruption.
