Given repeated scurrilous attacks against my state’s legislature, I want to set the record straight.

Alabama Democrats control both houses.
-- Senate: Democrats 19 versus Republican 13
-- House: Democrats 61 versus Republican 43

Those two outstanding Alabamians do an admirable job leading our state's legislature.

1. It's a hate the south thing, you wouldn't understand

Educating people who have never been to the South is a complete waste of time- they will simply not respond and then make the same stupid remarks at a later date. Forget the fact that the south is more black-white integrated than most northern (and Californian) places. Forget the fact that there are more black-white interracial marriages, couples, and people in the South than in most places. Forget the actual statistics about almost anything, including Jim Crow- South is BAD, BAD, BAD. It's 1850 in the South and it always will be.
