If you are against single payer health care for all Americans give up your government health care. I want to see those Congress critters try to get Health Insurance on the free market. I want them to see how it feels to have a claim denied because some bean counter decides that it is cheaper for you to die then it is for them to pay for a life saving procedure. I want to see their reaction when the premium shoots up 40% in one year followed by another 45% the next. On top of that their deductables almost doubles during that same tiome period. Either support Single payer Health care or give up yours.

5. Good idea
Even for a Chisox fan. J/K. And a lot of the congress people are up there in years, so getting health insurance may be more difficult for them.

Seems he is merely gaging the political winds - that's not leadership!

8. Most of them would have pre-existing conditions that would exclude
them from any coverage. They make me sick . . . not a good thing since I don't have their gold-plated coverage.

13. Last night PBS had a story on health insurance and the problems
with coverage, pre existing conditions, etc. It told some sad stories, but the most amazing one was the CEO of a major insurance company (I didn't note which one) who said that he had a medical condition and his own company would be unable to insure him if he wasn't an employee. His solution? "I have to make sure and not loose my job."

Because it's always about number one.

Don't you realize that there are two standards. There is the standard for those that have and those that don't. Politicians in both parties are equally guilty. While they say they want things better for the people they bask in their luxury. When do you think the last time any member of congress has had to go to a free clinic or had to worry about their retirement.

15. It Should Be LAW...
That Government employees and/or representatives shall NOT get any more than the AVERAGE health insurance benefits and pension in America. And this average MUST include all those without health insurance and without any pension.

Fuck'em! Those greedy fucking bastards, who do not give a rat's ass about the American People, and do not deserve anymore than the rest of us. These smarmy pricks will NEVER give a shit about the average American, unless they are in the same fucking boat. Yank the silver spoon out of their fucking mouths and knock their asses back to reality, because they do not deserve to just put their time in and collect all the lavish and luxurious benefits that the rest of us do not come close to getting.

Sorry... But I really have never seen any government worker ever giving a shit about anyone, since they already had their lifelong career sucking off the government tit.
