cheney is out doing what the bu$h* administration did for eight years
he's getting ahead on this 'waterboarding is not torture' bullshit

there are discussions now 'what if cheney is right and we did save a lot of lives?'

the real discussion should be 'cheney has admitted to torture and why is he not being prosecuted?'

President Obama declared plain and simple that waterboarding is torture...i don't see how he cannot investigate cheney/bu$h* ????

just my 2cents

7. I think so too
Sen Whitehouse doesn't seem to be the kind to be deterred easily so there is a good chance something will ultimately come of these hearings.

3. Don't you relish the irony
of Cheney's hiding in his bunker for eight years. No one even knew where he was.

But now, you can't keep him off the airwaves. And, apparently his old boss has absolutely no say in what Cheney does. It does accentuate - as if we needed it - exactly who was in charge for those eight years.

Torture. If you have to defend it, you're in bad, bad shape. And we are signatories to a treaty that prohibits torture - our Constitution binds us to that, despite what Cheney and his administration (let's be clear about whose administration it was) are now saying, worrying about what's going to happen to them.

Vile pigs. Cowards. Weasels. Weenies........................

4. Maybe we could save a lot more lives if we pulled their fingernails out with pliers
Or covered their naked body with honey and put ants on them. If all that matters is getting information let's really get creative....Where does it end?

8. Cheney is also doing something else by his actions, with his continuous
marketing and justification of torture, he's implicating him self as the true "decider" of that maladministration's disastrous, immoral, inept and evil policies, the ever present Cheney, magnifies the absence of Bush from this debate.

The Prime Directive for future administrations should be, No Vice-President should have more power than the President, either explicit or implicit, above board or behind closed doors, to do so can only to lead to ruin as it surreptitiously circumnavigates the Constitution.

I do believe that was the plan from the beginning with them, when Cheney searched the entire nation over for the best V.P. candidate; only to find him self.

9. Exactly! Cheny is doing the same thing the Neocons did for 8 long years..
They control the dialog... set up the strawmen... start the memes.. and control the Press Corp like a bunch of Kindergardners during recess.

Examples

You are either with us or against us

Mission Accomplished

Go sit in your 'Free Speech' zone and shut up

It's not a troop buildup.. it's a 'surge'

It's not torture.. it's 'Enhanced Interrogation'

The smoking gun is a mushroom cloud within 45 minutes
