Basic questions about the torture photos themselves
I missed the start of the recent uproar over the torture photos. By now, DU is going to be more reliable than a Google search to educate me.

What's the source of these photos - are they from DoD, CIA, do we know?

Are they from a particular facility?

I know they were to be released due to a FOIA request from the ACLU. How did the ACLU know they existed? Were they discussed back when the other photos came out a few years ago, but not released?

When did ACLU request them?

I saw a number like 40 of them - do we know that number?

Have members of Congress seen them?

Thanks.

Muttocracy, if you do a search at the ACLU site for "torture photographs" it brings up a number of articles.
