The sails are deployed, the ship of state is sailing, "the stars are aligned" and yet...
Obama, as I knew from the GitMo; would be sitting in front of very, very, very-very grim people explaining to him in explicit-sordid detail some of the funkiest stuff anyone should ever have to hear; far beyond what he was never briefed, as regards, throughout the primaries and as he approached the presidency and so no...

Obama never claimed to be he was a per se Lib/Pro, that was the blank sheet of paper onto which people scribbled their 'hopes' for 'change', but the matter is far more sticky and clearly so; so that I've since seen fit to commiserate with, however remotely, the concerns of people that never seen it coming :):(

I'm say'n and that's all I'm say'n :kick:

1. I think Obama was stunned
by what he found when he took over on the 21st of January. Campaign briefings, and even when he was briefed after winning the election, when Chimpy Fucknuts effectively stopped even pretending that he was doing anything resembling work. I am certain Obama fought back the urge to go stick his head in the closest oven.

No new President has ever had to contend with all that Obama's been smacked with, and, even though I'm not happy with some of his decisions, I also understand that he's got access to information that I don't. So, because hope dies last, I am going to trust him, betting that he is, as he's been so far, three moves ahead of everyone else, doing what is best for our country.

Our country has never been in such horrible shape, and, even with Obama, I'm not convinced we can recover. I do believe that we've not yet seen the worst of it.

That's all I'm sayin'............................

2. Blank sheet
But if you won the election based primarily on a solid constituency you owe that constituency the courtesy of working towards their aims, dont you?

If Simon Says was politically liberal, but ran as a conservative in a very conservative district and won because no one knew he was a liberal, would it be okay with his constituents if he acted liberal once in office, or would that be a violation of the trust his constituents had in him?

3. Obama didn't run as a liberal..
the only people that ever called him a liberal were republicans..until he won. Then all of a sudden the 'liberals' were responsible for electing him. Now..what is he now? DLC? Bush-lite? Corporatist? Empty Suit?

5. I don't know..what were the 'liberals'..
expecting? I don't remember a single person I worked with or contacted throughout the entire primary and campaign season who described themselves as 'liberal'. Not only that, but I don't recall any demands for certain expectations to be met within a certain time frame. I guess I live in the wrong state, and Massachusetts is way out of the loop on the 'liberal' thing.
