"Anderson Cooper 360," which came on because I would have to move to change the channel, and that's not happening.
Sanjay Gupta, MD, reported - and I have no reason to doubt his accuracy in reporting - that marijuana (it's a plant whose leaves, I believe, are supposed to convey certain experiences when ingested in any number of ways - I heard) today has about 30% more THC than did marijuana from 20 years ago.
At least I think that's what he said. It was something like that. I couldn't hear it all too clearly because of the crunching sound these potato chips were making in my mouth.
I don't remember why I posted this .............................

2. I used to use the stuff in the 70's |
|
Loved it, but then the potency began increasing, and it got to the point it became too strong to enjoy.
With the old stuff you could reach a low high, the kind that made everything funny, and keep that going for hours and hours.
The stronger stuff was just smoke a little, then get really sleepy, no fun whatsoever.
Even hash was weaker than the weed that began selling in the late 70's early 80's.

Weaker than the weed of the 80's. Unless it's my tolerance then I have no answer. All the fancy named bud today doesn't compare to the Chocolate Thai I used to smoke in the 80's or any Thai for that matter. I have thought for many years that claim about pot being more powerful was to scare their parents more than anything else.

4. There's less variety, but the good stuff IS stronger than regular weed used to be. |
|
Some of the "blueberry" weed (named for it's blue coloration) going around Cape Cod a few years back was unreal. As good as lamb's breath or Thai or Acapulco Gold or anything else I smoked back in the day. There's just way less types to choose from these days. And my tolerance should make it seem weaker, but overall I just don't see it.
Maybe I'm just lucky. :D

9. I hope your luck holds, |
|
but compared to what we smoked back in the sixties - yeah, some of us began that long ago, we, the fortunate ones - the stuff that I know today is beyond comparison.
Hydroponic bud from So. Florida. Unlike anything I've ever encountered. Goes for $250 an oz. It's a beautiful thing.............

5. Yeah same here, I gave up smoking it because the stuff of today seems to make |
|
me self doubting and feeling like everything is hopeless. I remember the stuff I was smoking in the late 60's early 70's was really something else. Remember tripping weed? Had a LSD type effect to it, it came out around 72 or 73. The stuff in the 80's was decent, had 2 effects, you either worked your butt off or you sat because moving took to much effort. Loved the pine smell of the 80's weed too, lol.

6. They've been saying that since the 80s |
|
I'm not pro-pot but that's the only thing they've been able to come up with to scare parents who quit smoking and consequently have no personal comparison. Since they keep terrorizing people with it, I now have to believe it's a lie.

7. If my detergent were 30% stronger, I'd use less. |
|
I wouldn't have to spend as much either, unless the price were 30% (or more) higher.
BTW, where are these numbers coming from? The Feds don't allow anyone to do this kind of research.
Something smells funny, and it's not someone's fragrant pits.
