Prisoner abuse by the military is not the same thing as torture by CIA Contractors

Pay very close attention to the politicians when they speak on the torture/abuse issue. The liars will purposefully confuse the abuse of prisoners by military personnel in military prisons, primarily in Iraq and Afghanistan and the completely different issue of CIA (Contractors) torturing detainees in secrete prisons in undisclosed locations around the world.

The two issues have been mixed and matched and confused out of any understandable perspective and the differences are being exploited by Republican apologists for the Bush/CIA regime.

Here is an example, you'll hear reference made to 'a few bad apples' being responsible for the un-american acts such as water boarding. Who would call a paid contractor taking orders directly from the White House a Bad Apple? No one, they are talking about low ranking military guards at military prisons when they use the phrase but they will apply it to describe CIA tortures. That is manipulation of your perception pure and simple.

Keep an eye out for it; everyone needs another reason to scream at the TV.

On edit: Notice that the military guys never water boarded anybody.
On second Edit: Also notice that Military personel take orders, Contractors take pay checks.

3. Smartest thing I've read you've typed
It pisses me off that no one is talking about the press and how they are complicit in all this illegal activity from the black sites to the money market fall. We have to get our press back out from under corporate control if we are to ever hope to change anything really.
