Look! Pelosi's shiny! Ignore Cheney!
Don't look at the man who bragged about committing war crimes on Sunday talk shows! Don't look at the man who gave the orders. Don't look at the man who started a war based on lies for pure profit. Don't look at the man who had people tortured just so they could give out propaganda saying Al Qaeda had a link to Saddam Hussein.

Watch the media's distraction!

Pelosi might have known something... SHE'S A WITCH!!! BURN HER!!!

4. I agree this is a distraction,
but I'm curious to see if she has the spine to fight on her own behalf. She sure doesn't have the spine to fight for us.

10. It's amazing
The media still acts as though they aren't sure if torture is illegal, but they seem obsessed with what did Nancy know and when did she know it. This is like if someone tells me after the fact that they robbed a bank, and I end up being the one who the press demands be brought to justice for the crime--without even confirming that the bank robbery took place.

They seem to forget why people voted the Rushicans out of office. I will not be distracted - give me the perpetrators - those who planned and execute this policy.

15. Exactly
They're so busy talking about Nancy that they conveniently don't have time to discuss the evidence of the links between cheney ordered torture and the push to sell the war.

I won't be distracted, either. :hi:

16. That's why I no longer have cable.
Well, on top of being unemployed and not feeling like paying for cable, I was tired of my money going to places like FIXED News so they can spew propaganda.

17. I agree
I personally wish to make Comcast small enough that it can be drown in a bathtub. But it is the medium used for spreading propaganda and forming public opinion, even though it disgusts us. Look for a poll about Nancy to come out in about a week. This is how they operate. Then all of the politicians use the results of the polls (based on the forming of ideas in people's minds vis a vis cable and other "news" outlets) to formulate strategy & policy.

and just like everything else they are taking that little bone and running away with it and they don't know when to stop. Now,it is time to start working on the rest of the repugs who were involved in other crimes with Bushco.

18. They Overplayed Again...
No doubt the wingnuts and GOOP black operatives saw Pelosi as being somewhat unpopular...especially with a vocal minority. They've looked long and hard to find something/anything to stick on her and think they finally have found it...they've drawn blood. For those who want blood, they see it...for the rest of the reality-based world, they see bullshit.

The one thing they misread...as expected...is the differences Democrats have with Pelosi is far different than what they think. Many are upset cause she hasn't moved fast enough and hard enough against the booooosh regime. They also can't nuance that we prefer to keep our fights inside our tent...not trotted out and dictated by some Oxy-hazed windbag or a war criminal/profiteer and his spoiled little girl.

19. Here is what I want to hear a reporter ask someone...
...what, exactly, is Ms. Pelosi guilty of, again?

Because if they're trying to say that "She knew", please elaborate on what it is she knew, and why it's a bad thing that she knew it?

Basically, if she is guilty of "knowing" about something, then that something must be bad.

If I knew of a murder and said nothing, that would be a bad thing. But I'm guessing that law enforcement would be EVEN MORE INTERESTED in knowing WHO COMMITTED THE MURDER.

Geez, why is any of this so hard to understand.

21. What it's more likely about
Everyone pretty much agrees that cheney is irrelevant...this is an attempt to shut down any attempt to establish a "truth commission" or a special-investigator or congressional investigation. CIA hopes Dems (Pelosi and others) will be too embarrassed to support getting at the truth. CIA/bushies hope that the Dems will just want to put the issue behind them, rather than be embarrassed....embarrassed either by knowing or by the implication of knowing. But, Pelosi said she still supports a truth commission or investigation. This is an attempt at intimidation, pure and simple. What does it matter what Dems knew and when? What matters is getting to the truth of the illegal/immoral torture issue. The Repubics/CIA OWN this issue, not the Dems.
