"Treat others with respect" is a value. "Don't be a slut" is not a value. |

Society's sex-negativity drives me up the wall.

2. How is "don't be a slut" sex-negative? It sounds slut-negative to me. And excellent advice, too. |

We have feelings, too, you know. I am, personally, as pure as the driven slush, as someone once remarked.

14. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against sluttage if said slut aspires to it personally. It's |
|
not something I would encourage my young daughters to aspire to while they're this age, but as far as I'm concerned, once they're eighteen, if they want to go slut, that's up to them and I hope they're happy.
I was merely commenting that I wouldn't necessarily consider the exhortation "don't be a slut" as sex-negative. I wouldn't consider sluttism sex-negative; one could conceivably argue that it's an ultimate expression of sex-positivism.

7. What's the term for a boy slut? |
|
Hmmmmm. There is no such thing because as being a promiscuous male is considered a fine thing, as long as he likes women anyway. So many technicalities.

And, as you already stated, it's considered a positive, not a negative!

17. actually, i dont agree. this board actively promotes that, but it isn't how i have seen |

society work. maybe more now than ever before it is trying to be promoted. and maybe people are being conditioned more in accepting it. i have never chosen to allow society, culture or anything else condition me. i feel it easily and resent the hell out of it
i know that with me over the years i have met the slut males here and there and they did not have respect or a desire from me at all. they are not the ones i am attracted to. i wanted nothing to do with them. same with my friends. would be almost masochistic to want a slut. unless of course, that is exactly what i was looking to be at that point.
but as a whole, the slut males doesn't garner respect either.
for me.... to earn the slut title, it is about using. the wham bam thank you sir, .... now, go away. i do not see it as either good or bad. just is. and is a choice. most people, depending where they are in their life, aren't looking for that. or they do here and there. or it is never for them. and some chose it as a lifestyle.
like for example the whine with cheese comment. it is to empower the male and take away the power from female, per your whine, lol. is that really what we will allow conditioning to do to us. not a chance in hell. it is an illusionary, bogus argument to shift balance. and it is so obvious, not even a little subtlety in doing it.

13. Actually, slut works just fine... |

Happen to know a particular individual who hangs out at a pool hall been going to for years. He tries to bang everything around, mostly new waitresses/bartenders.
New folks who work there get warned by the regulars to watch out for him :)
He also has scratch the nuts- another good reason to stay away....

Roger the Alien is a whore.
Hayley Smith is a slut.
When I befriend an occasional exotic dancer for a few minutes I always introduce myself as a male slut.
I've always had a problem with that double standard. I've known plenty of male sluts in my day and I was always so jealous of their ability to get the chix and ravage them all the time. I was socially retarded when I was young and just could not compete.

"The males sluts of my day" are the one's with the ravaging problems.
I have never had any ravaging aspirations of any sort. I would like to think I would have been more honorable than to do that.
The dominant males of my youth used to treat the girls like crap and the girls would come back for more. I was a sniveling fearful coward at the time and ill equipped to even speak to the girls back then. I could not compete because of chronic shyness which I eventually overcame as I got older. The shyness was my choice, but it took a few decades of life experience to realize that.
Socially retarded is a Frank Zappa term I co-opted.
I've got problems, but ravaging women in my life time is not one of them.

take it a bet further in your realization. time long ago, but to reflect with our age and wisdom. the girls that kept coming back for more, .... wasnt all girls by any means. only certain girls and there was reason.
and my brother slut male, who i love completely, and feel for, working on 50 and still a slut has one fucked up life and so does his daughter.
not something i aspired to either.
that is the problem, we make it cutsey in acceptance, and it really isnt. and certainly not all males. i had to respect the guys to be attracted to them.

23. I have watched dear friends both male and female be poorly treated and return for more |
|
just as you say.
It's a puzzle with too many variables for singular or simplistic answers.
I read a study once that said that a majority of people who described themselves as "very shy" tended to have light hair and light complexions. After I read it, I thought "HUH! Yeah, most of the people I know who are really shy DO have light hair and complexions."
Of course that's just dumb. It was one study and my "evidence" was purely anecdotal.
Once again, too many variables.
Peace. :-)
