The Target Pharmacy deserves a plug. I don't think I have ever |
|
had a store follow through like this. Those of you who read the Pets forum probably are familiar with my recent adoption of a shelter kitty. I asked all kinds of questions and everyone was so helpful here.
The adoption went wrong in a big way. As cute as the kitty was, she was biting me and at one point lunged at my face and scratched me pretty badly. The next AM, she bit me on the arm. I called the shelter and they came to my house and brought her back. She will be quarantined and then put up for adoption in a home where there are no kids or dogs.
My Doc has me on an antibiotic and I had to get a tetanus shot.
I have been using Target pharmacy the last few months after the Wal-mart one did not catch a drug interaction, charged me $42.00 and would not take the prescription back.
The bottom line: I just got a call from the Pharmacist at Target asking how I was doing with the antibiotic and inquire if I had any problems with either the medicine or the injuries. Never got a call like that ever!
They have my business now in all departments. This kind of service just does not happen anymore. At least around here.
PS, they gave me a break on the cost of the antibiotic because I don't have drug coverage. It is a special program they offer. I was asked if had insurance, when I told them no drug, the Pharmacist probably saw my face drop at the cost.

sadly the closest Target is a 150 mile round trip, but whenever I get up there, I stop at Target

Not just the price, but they fax my Dr for the script, fill it and have it ready for me on the day I need it.

4. I place the credit on the pharmacist, rather than the chain. |
|
The pharmacists really run the show.

5. Thanks for the information ~ does Target accept any insurance? |
|
CVS will not accept my Medicare and Blue Cross so I have to travel about 2 miles to a decent pharmacy.
Target is pretty close and I enjoy going there.

7. I don't know about the insurance but I'm sure a quick phone |
|
call will give you the answer. How can they not? Those lucky enough to have coverage for drugs have to get them somewhere. It is a large, full service pharmacy here. I'd stop by and ask them what your options are.

9. I've never gotten drugs there but... |
|
the nearest one to where I live in East Shithole, is 60 miles away in Tyler.
As it is, I drive to Houston (140 miles) to get my scrips at Costco b/c I don't trust the nearest Walgreen's which is 20 miles away.

10. That is great! I love my local Target too. Much better customer service than Wal-Fart. |
|
I always make a point to spread good reviews too and shift my business to companies that do right by people. For example, when Walgreens decided to give free services at their Take Care Clinics to unemployed patients, I made a point to do business there.
Business decisions that promote the greater good need to be rewarded and recognized.

11. Target, eh? I'll check them out sometime...Wal-Mart, never again. |
|
Wal-Mart "sat" on a prescription for three days because they didn't have it in stock. They never called me or my doctor, they never bothered to contact another pharmacy to lend them the medication to cover the Rx. I was livid when I went to pick it up and it was still unfilled. They had more than enough time to rectify the problem.
